Atara Lubosky
My personal history with movement began as a toddler in dance classes; I found joy and release through freedom and imagination. At the age of seven, I began my five-year journey though gymnastics and discovered strength and power merged with competition. I then realized my next love with figure skating which combined the strength and power of gymnastics with the grace of dance. Movement is a big part of my life. As sports took a back seat for school, I continued learning about movement through my own daily workouts through experimentation, observation, and study. I began to understand that intentional exercise helped me feel better, look better, and move better.
While studying to complete my bachelor's degree in education and psychology, in 2016 I became a Certified Personal Trainer to share the gift of movement with others. Feeling limited in my knowledge of movement for various bodies, I continued my education in 2018 with Pilates and functional movement. This combination has given me a greater capacity to help people on an individual basis and the ability to address their specific movement challenges. I found the joy of Yoga in my own pregnancies and moved on to complete my 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification; merging mind with movement. Teaching in boutique studios and small gyms, I gained an appreciation for the power of connection through group fitness. With the energy of a bootcamp class, the grace of Barre, the silent strength of Pilates, and the peace of Yoga these groups grow together and empower each other.
As I journeyed through my own rollercoaster of motherhood, my clients and friends felt dissatisfied with their bodies through their prenatal and postpartum experience. After much self-study and improvement, I became a GGS Certified Pre-postnatal Coach to more deeply support the motherhood community.
As a mother of three to a growing family, I hope to help mothers feel strong and empowered through pregnancy and postpartum through movement that is challenging yet compassionate. I consistently strive to strengthen my own teaching skill set with continuing education and regular personal practice.
