Batya Novick, LCSW and Julie Slavin, LMFT
Julie Potash Slavin, LMFT, Julie is a licensed therapist and the founder of Direct Support Therapy Group. She has extensive training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) a cutting-edge, tested, and proven modality that is the gold standard for empirically validated intervention in this field. She has completed intensive training on maternal mental health and fertility, perinatal distress and loss from the Seleni Institute as well as focused training on fertility and reproductive health from The American Society of Reproductive Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Iona College.
Batya Novick, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in reproductive and relational mental health. She works with individuals and couples around fertility challenges and perinatal loss to transitions into family building options, postpartum and parental support and has dedicated her career to this specialized field of care. Batya graduated from Columbia University and trained at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. She is a professor within the graduate program at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work, an active member of Resolve and an elected committee member within the Mental Health Professional Group of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. Batya provides clinical support and consultation to corporations and outside industries and has authored articles and frequently speaks on the topics of fertility and postpartum support.
